A lovely summers day and the sun is shining, perfect for what has become an annual event, the Afternoon Tea at Leyland, a really pleasant and relaxed couple of hours spent in good company, there to welcome everyone was the PGM Keith and his wife June, along with members of the provincial executive team

As we in the Mark Degree have all come to expect there is always lots of genuine “Glad to see you again” greetings, friendly chat and news from all over the Province. Once everybody was comfortably seated and the Prosecco served to the tables by some temporary first class waiters, pyramid stands full of delicate cakes, sandwiches and delicious scones complete with clotted cream were brought round by the excellent members of staff at Leyland.

Music for the afternoon was presented by Austin “Songs from the Heart” which everybody enjoyed, singing along to some of the well known numbers. All too soon the afternoon was drawing to a close, Keith thanked all the members  who had assisted in putting the event on and everyone for attending, wishing them all a safe journey home and looking forward to seeing them all again at the same time next year.
